Russia is about the host the 2018 World Cup and so it is with great honor that Alpasión will be featured as one of the wines during the event, but also giving honor to the late and great Lev Yashin, the Black Spider, with a dedicated limited edition designed bottle.
Yashin’s record of blocking 270 clean sheets and saving over 150 penalties in his career is outstanding. As a pioneer in the sport and considered the best goalkeeper of the 20th century, he brought glory to his team during the 1960 European Championships, an Olympic gold medal for USSR, as well as winning five Russian league titles, and three Russian cups. In 1963, he was awarded the coveted Ballon d’Or and the only keeper to ever win the award. In 1994, FIFA commemorated his success by introducing the Golden Glove Award to the best goalkeeper of the year.
